Why Bonus and Promotional Airtime Is Usually Blocked
When a network hands out bonus airtime as part of a recharge offer, it normally attaches conditions to it. One of the common conditions is that the bonus cannot be transferred to another line.
That restriction comes from the network, not from the conversion platform. No platform can move airtime your network will not release.

What Happens After a Successful Conversion
This is where the wording on most airtime to cash pages, including some of ours in the past, has been loose. Two separate things happen, and they are worth separating in your head.
Step one: your wallet is credited
A successful conversion credits your SnappyPay wallet. The money is yours at this point and it is visible in your balance, but it is still inside SnappyPay.
Step two: you withdraw to your bank
To spend it outside SnappyPay, you tap Withdraw and send it to your Nigerian bank account. That withdrawal is processed instantly.

What is not true, and what you should be sceptical of wherever you read it, is any claim that converted airtime lands in a bank account with no step in between.
Why a Transaction May Stay Pending for a While
A conversion depends on your mobile network confirming that the airtime transfer happened. Networks are not always quick to answer, and a slow answer is not the same as a refusal.
SnappyPay reports the stage a transaction has reached rather than collapsing everything into success or failure. The stages you may see include:
- request submitted
- checking with the network
- transfer confirmed
- wallet credited
If a transaction is sitting at one of the middle stages, it is still being worked on. The single most useful thing you can do is wait rather than start the same conversion again, because a repeat attempt can move airtime a second time while the first one is still resolving.
If the status has not settled after a reasonable wait, open the transaction record and contact support with its reference rather than starting over.
Common Conversion Problems
The convertible amount is lower than your balance
Almost always bonus or promotional airtime that your network will not release. Check what is transferable before assuming the full balance is available.
The airtime transfer will not go through

You entered the wrong phone number
Check the number on the review screen before you confirm. Airtime that has successfully left a line is difficult to recover, which is why the review step exists.
